I am a writer and editor. My work has been published by The Walrus, Toronto Life, Maclean's, POLITICO Magazine, and The Washington Post, among other outlets. I have a PhD in religious studies from Yale University and a master's in systematic theology from the University of Edinburgh. I did my undergraduate work at Princeton University, where I studied political theory. My work has been supported by the National Book Critics Circle, the Writers' Room of Boston, Slough Farm, and MASS MoCA. I also serve as a senior reader for The Yale Review, and I fact check for Toronto Life.

I am currently working on a book about disenchantment. My agent is Julia Eagleton.
